Academics — Middle School

Middle school consists of grades 6–8 and focuses on preparing students for the transitions that happen during the preteen and early teenage years. Building on the subjects taught in elementary school, middle school teachers guide students in more complex concepts and processes, with a greater emphasis on analysis. Specific courses in middle school include:

• English, which is a combination of vocabulary, grammar, writing, and classic literature
• Singapore Math 6, Pre-algebra, Algebra I
• American and World History and Geography
• General Science, Life Science, and Earth Science
• Christian Worldview — biblical concepts and application
• Spanish I and Spanish II
• PE
• Visual Art
• Technology and Computer Applications
